We are looking for a clinically-minded, organised and compassionate individual to join our team full-time as a Case Screening Adviser – a vital first point of contact for our clients affected by medical negligence.
In this role, you will help us establish whether a negligence claim has merit and is worth pursuing. If you have a medical or scientific background, strong organisational skills, and are capable of understanding and working within a process, this may be the perfect role for you.

The details
Key responsibilities
- Taking new case inquiries as one of our firm’s first points of contact
- Engaging with potential clients to understand their claim and collect information
- Following a set process to test a claim’s credibility and viability
- Producing case screening reports for our solicitors explaining why a claim is worthy of pursuing or not
- Detailing how the legal and financial process works for our prospective clients
Job requirements
- A medical or scientific background is preferable (but not essential)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- An empathetic, compassionate tone
- The ability to work as part of a team and engage with potential clients
- Capable note-taking and writing skills
- A capacity to work within and follow a set process
- A willingness to accept on-the-clock training for this specific role
- Work from our offices in Chelmsford
- Previous experience in a similar role for another firm is beneficial (but not essential)
