Delayed treatment of haemorrhage following hysterectomy, leading to death – £170,000

Sally Randall had a hysterectomy because of heavy periods and stress incontinence, caused by a large fibroid. She suffered internal bleeding during the operation which went unnoticed.  Following delays in treatment, she sadly died. She was 50.

We made a claim on behalf of her husband, arguing that the delays in treating her were negligent and meant that opportunities to save Sally’s life were lost.
